New hotel to be built at Credit Union Place in Summerside

A new hotel is being built in Summerside at Credit Union Place.  The City of Summerside has announced a development agreement with Caboteer Hospitality and Developments that will see a Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham hotel built on the southwest portion of the Credit Union Place grounds.  The plan is for an 80-100 room hotel, with construction starting either this fall or next spring.
There is no government money involved.  The hotel will create 80-100 construction jobs and 30+ new full and part time jobs once it’s operating
