The Island is bracing for a storm on Sunday.
Environment Canada has a Special Weather Statement in place for PEI for Sunday, warning of significant snowfall, and/or rainfall.
There’s still some uncertainty about the track the system will follow. Areas to the north of that track could get as much as 20 to 40 cm of snow, while those south of the track would see rain, and lots of it — 20 to 40 mm.
The Weather Network says we should see heavy snow starting in the morning, and it will change to freezing rain in the evening and then to rain. Significant amounts of rain are expected.
