NO MORE STORMY WEATHER
The Island Storm has weathered its worst storm ever as far as not winning is concerned.
The Storm ended a 10-game losing streak with a 108-91 win over the first place Moncton Magic on Friday night.
It was the Storm’s first win since December 1st
Sampson Carter led the attack with 21 points and 10 rebounds. Moncton has lost 4 in a row. Newcomer Guillaume Boucard had 15 points in his Storm debut.
The Storm hosts the Halifax Hurricanes on Sunday afternoon at 2.00.
NBA
The Toronto Raptors had a 122-105 blowout win over the Brooklyn Nets in the NBA. Kawhi Leonard with 20 points as the Raptors won their fourth in a row. They have league best 32-12 record.
WOMEN PANTHERS WIN AGAIN
The UPEI women Panthers are tied with Cape Breton for first in the AUS dropping Saint Mary’s, 69-46. Lauren Fleming had 13 points. Jane McLaughlin with 12. UPEI is 8-1.

The men Panthers are 3-6 losing 92-74 to the first place Huskies. Saint Mary’s is 8-0.

HOCKEY PANTHERS LOSE AT X
The UPEI men’s hockey Panthers gave up three power play goals to St. F.X and lost 6-3. X scored two times in each period.
Kameron Keilly, Owen Headrick and Filip Rydstrom provided the Panthers goals. UPEI is 10-8-2 and fourth in the AUS.

UNB is still unbeaten in regulation in 21 games stopping Dalhousie, 3-1. The Reds now 18-0-3.

CAPS WIN IN CAMPBELLTON
The Summerside Western Capitals won their 6th in a row as they edged Campbellton, 4-3 on the road in overtime.
Brodie MacArthur with the winner at 1.55 in OT for the North leading Caps in the MHL. Summerside is 25-5.
NHL – SPRONG SCORES BUT DUCKS LOSE AGAIN
Anaheim has lost 10 in a row in the NHL bowing 7-4 to visiting Pittsburgh. The Ducks led 3-0 before falling apart. Jake Guentzel scored three times.
Former Islander Daniel Sprong got his 6th goal for the Ducks.

The Charlottetown Pride is 3-0 at the East Coast Ice Jam in Halifax in Major Midget. Jonah Arbing recorded the shutout while Seth Morris and Max Chisholm both had a goal and assist.
