The owner of a Charlottetown Tattoo studio remains in hospital in Halifax after having his leg amputated following a violent incident early Sunday.
Charlottetown Police say just after 5 a.m., a vehicle pulled into the parking lot of the business and an altercation occurred over a female that was inside the business at the time.
It quickly escalated into a violent incident as the business owner was then struck by the vehicle and pinned up against the building, causing serious injuries.
The driver has been charged with aggravated assault with a weapon and will appear in court on January 31st. The investigation continues and more charges are possible, say police.
