The “yellow vest” movement hit the Maritimes on Saturday with protests in several cities.
The protest movement began in France and has made its way to Canada in an effort to show solidarity with French protestors.
The issues they are protesting include the carbon tax and the signing of the UN Migration Pact.
There was a small protest in Halifax and one in Charlottetown outside the Jean Canfield Building Saturday afternoon.
The Migration Pact was signed by Canada and 164 other nations.
Protesters believe it will have negative consequences.
The U-S did not sign the agreement.
