The lowly Saint John Sea Dogs mounted quite a comeback as they stopped the Charlottetown Islanders, 6-4 in the Q,
Kevin Gursoy gave the Islanders a 4-3 lead at the 7 minute mark of the third but the Sea Dogs roared back with three straight goals.
Maxim Cajkovic tied the game on a breakaway, his second goal of the night. Nicholas Deakin-Poot had the winner.
Daniel Hardie got his 21st for the Islanders while Nikita Alexandrov scored his 14th. Derek Gentile also scored.
The Islanders remain in third place in the Maritimes, five points out of first.
Halifax dropped second place Moncton, 2-0. Alexis Gravel with a 33 save shutout.
Cape Breton doubled Acadie-Bathurst, 8-4.

The Kensington Wild are in the quarter-finals in the CCM Midget AAA tournament in Chicoutimi after a 6-3 win over the Espoir Midgets of Saguenay- Lac St-John.

Hunter Bradley with a goal and two assists as the Charlottetown Pride dropped the Fredericton Caps, 6-3 in Major Midget. Charlottetown led 3-0 early. The Pride now 9-11-1.
Kris Bennett of the UNB Reds scored twice as the U-Sport All-Stars won 5-1 over Team Canada Junior in exhibition play.
The university stars aree 2-0 vs. the Canadian Juniors this year and 4-0-1 in the last two years.

Mark Scheifele scored in overtime handing the Winnipeg Jets a 4-3 win in Chicago in the NHL.
Pittsburgh dropped Boston, 5-2. Zach Aston-Reese had two goals and an assist.
Ottawa over Detroit, 4-2. Mark Stone with the winner.
Edmonton over Philadelphia, 4-1. Connor McDavid with 2 goals and one assist.
New Jersey got by Las Vegas, 5-4 in overtime on a goal by Nico Hischier.
Ryan O’Reilly’s short handed goal in overtime gave St. Louis a 4-3 edging of Colorado.
Arizona trimmed the NY Rangers, 4-3 in OT.
Washington over Carolina, 6-5 in a shootout.
The Island Storm lost 112-104 in St. John s to the Edge in the NBL. The Storm trailed 54-45 at the half.
Russell Byrd with 26 points. Sampson Carter added 25 in the loss. The Storm is 2-3.
Moncton leads the Atlantic Division at 9-0 with a 105-96 win at home to Halifax.

Portland downed Toronto, 128-122 in the NBA.
Kawhi Leonard led the Raptors with 28 points. The Raptors are 23-8.
