A judge has granted an extension for the mental health assessment of an Island woman accused of causing the deaths of two infants, and disposing of their bodies.
Shannon Dawn Rayner faces two counts of infanticide, and other charges, in separate incidents from 2014 and 2016.
The Crown says that on Wednesday the defence requested an extension to a mental health assessment order, as the facility conducting the assessment needed more time.
A 30-day extension was granted.
