A new report released by the Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy shows that the number of consumer insolvencies in Canada, including bankruptcies, increased by 16.4 per cent in October compared to September.
It was up 9.2 per cent from October of 2017.
Regionally, Prince Edward Island had the greatest increase in the country at 20.8% compared to October 2017.
