The Summerside Western Capitals moved five points up in the second place Campbellton Tigers with a 3-0 shutout last night in the Maritime Junior Hockey League.
The Caps were sparked by goalie Dominek Tmej’s 50 saves and two goals from Kayden Peck. Brodie MacArthur also scored.
The Caps improve to 18-4.
Bruce Massey’s buzzer beater gave the visiting Cape Breton Highlanders a 116-115 victory over the Island Storm in NBL basketball.
The Storm now 2-2.
Jarrell Tate had 24 points and 10 rebounds for the Storm.
Russell Byrd added 24 points and 9 rebounds.
