Yet another storm is headed towards the Maritimes.
Heavy snowfall and high winds are expected with a major low pressure system tracking towards Prince Edward Island.
Precipitation will begin as rain this evening but is expected to change over to snow later tonight, with winds gusting up to 100 km/h tonight and persist into Thursday. Heavy snow is expected to taper to light snow mixed with rain Thursday morning.
Snowfall totals of 15 to 25 centimetres are currently expected with lesser amounts over eastern sections of the island where snow will mix with rain for the duration of the storm.
