The City of Charlottetown has offered an apology in a statement concerning the delay at the start of the 20th annual Christmas Parade over the weekend.
It says there were some unfortunate issues concerning road closures along the route which resulted in the delay Saturday.
Participant and spectator safety is of utmost importance the City says and police had to give the all clear before the parade could begin, which happened about an hour later than scheduled.
A full internal review will be made to make sure it doesn’t happen again.
