A new working committee is being put in place in Evangeline region after no funding toward the renewal of the Education Centre in the community was announced in the provincial capital budget.
Diane McInnis, President of thwe group looking for funding says that the future quality of first language French education and the Acadian and Francophone community is at stake.
The committee is to meet this week.
The working committee will be chaired by Gabriel Arsenault who has a good understanding for the education and community aspects for the project.
The committee will review the current status of the project.
Community priorities related to the project will be examined to determine what steps to take next.
