Whiteouts have created dangerous driving conditions Friday in Kings County.
Transportation officials in Georgetown say the whiteouts are widespread, hiotting a number of areas across Kings County.
The entire province has been under a Blowing Snow advisory, but it’s Kings County that has been hit especially hard. Provincial Civil Services in Kings County were delayed until 10:30, and Holland College’s Georgetown Campus was closed for the day.
The Confederation Bridge is under a Wind Warning Advisory, and there have been traffic restrictions in place, so it’s best to check ahead if you’re travelling. Winds in the Strait Friday morning were gusting over 95kh.
Northumberland Ferries cancelled all of its sailings for the day on Friday.
