An Australian doctor facing child pornography charges on PEI has been allowed to return home.
A Supreme Court Judge lifted a condition that had required Dr. Stephen Peter Menzies Murray to remain on the Island to await his trial on charges of possessing, making and distributing child pornography.
Murray is allowed to stay in Australia until he is required to return to PEI to deal with the charges, but his bail was increased to 75-thousand dollars cash from 10-thousand dollars. The 57-year-old was only on PEI for a day or two prior to his arrest earlier this year.
