The Trudeau government is getting requests from several fronts to bring an end to the rotating postal strikes.
The Canadian Union of Postal Workers rejected the time-sensitive offer from Canada Post before Saturday night’s deadline.
The union says it responded by submitting a counter-offer it believes forms the basis for a negotiated agreement — then asked Ottawa to appoint a mediator to the talks. There’s been no response.
