The province’s 2019-2020 Capital Budget, presented Friday in the Legislature, includes a commitment to a secondary school in Stratford.
Finance Minister Heath MacDonald says $38-million over the next four years will go towards the construction of a secondary school in Stratford. There’s also $19.1-million over the next four years for the construction of the new elementary school in Sherwood.
In regards to housing, MacDonald says the budget includes $16.8-million over the next two years for the construction of new affordable housing units.
MacDonald says $100-million will be invested over the next five years to improve mental health and addictions facilities.
$56-million will be invested in the next year for improvements to about 145km of highway and the replacement of 6 bridge structures.
