A young woman visiting PEI remains in hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries, after being struck by a vehicle in New Glasgow.
Queens RCMP say the woman was walking along Route 13 on Wednesday when she was hit by a vehicle around 1 p.m.
Police say a number of factors contributed to the crash, including the woman being on the traveling portion of the roadway, the bright sun blind crest of a hill obscuring the vision of the driver.
