The Provincial government says it expects to exceed its target of 275 new affordable housing units this year.
It says 230 new rent supplement arrangements have been created since the release of the Housing Action Plan in July.
As part of that plan, the province says it’s also working on initiatives aimed at improving housing affordability.
It says a scan of short term rentals, such as Airbnbs, is also underway as part of exploring affordable solutions.
