Construction on the main runway at the Charlottetown Airport was completed Monday and the first aircraft to use the rehabilitated runway landed.
The runway work, which began mid-April, was an $18-million infrastructure project — the largest infrastructure investment in the Airport’s history.
The project saw rehabilitation work on the airport’s main runway and connecting taxiways, grading and drainage improvements, storm water replacement, electrical replacement, and the construction of safety areas at each runway end.
