The Province says Tourism PEI stats show near-record numbers continued to visit Prince Edward Island through its three entry points in August.
The Confederation Bridge is on pace for another record season and is now 0.7 percent ahead of 2017’s year-to-date numbers. Northumberland Ferries also posted gains of 2.6 percent year-to-date. The Charlottetown Airport was down slightly in passenger volume, with a decrease of 1 percent year-to-date.
Overnight stays are down slightly year to date with a decrease of 1.8 percent compared to last year’s record season.
