A tough night on Thursday for the Charlottetown Islanders. The Halifax Mooseheads defeated the Isles by a score of 8-2. Charlottetown is now off to Bathurst to take on Noah Dobson and the Acadie-Bathurst Titan Friday night.

Saturday will be a great day of rugby at Alumni Field at UPEI with three games. The Mudmen 2’s play at noon in the Wheaton Cup; then it’s the UPEI Women’s Panthers play SMU for a spot in the AUS semifinal; and then finally, at 4pm it’s the Mudmen First Team playing the Fredericton Loyalists in the Caledonia Cup Maritime Division 1 Championship.
The UPEI Women’s Hockey Panthers get started Friday night on what will be an exciting season, culminating with the hosting of the National Championships. The Panthers host St Thomas Friday night at 7.
Hockey PEI has officially named Team PEI for Female Hockey at the 2019 Canada Winter Games in Red Deer, AB.
The selection of the team began in 2016, thru a variety of camps and events, including the recent Atlantic Challenge Cup in Moncton.
