Stratford Town Council has awarded the tender for the construction of its new Emergency Services Facility to McLean Construction.
It had the low bid for the project, which now has a pricetag of about $6.9-million after some modifications. But, that’s still almost $2-million more than the town had budgeted for the project.
The facility will house the Crossroads Fire Department, Stratford RCMP and Island EMS.
Construction is expected to begin in a matter of weeks.
