The Central Queens Wildlife Federation is receiving some funds in support of its efforts to restore the Atlantic Salmon populations throughout Queens County watersheds .
It will receive two grants of $49-thousand and $55-thousand, for a total of about $104-thousand, through the Atlantic Salmon Conservation Foundation.
The Foundation, which was established in 2007 through a one-time grant of $30 million from Ottawa, provides funding for organizations to conserve, restore, and protect wild Atlantic Salmon stocks.
