The RCMP canine unit was brought in to assist Charlottetown Police early Monday morning after a stolen truck struck a utility pole.
It happened at the corner of Queen Street and Cooper Avenue shortly after the driver fled when police tried to pull them over on North River Road.
Witnesses told police that two people ran from the scene and that’s why the dog was brought in.
The truck was stolen from the Walthen Drive area and police are still investigating.
