There was a meeting Monday in Vermont of U-S Governors and the eastern Canadian Premiers, including Premier MacLauchlan.
Evident were the divisions between U-S governors and President Trump concerning America’s approach to the NAFTA renegotiations.
Vermont’s Republican Governor predicted “cooler heads will prevail” and that NAFTA will be successfully renegotiated. Connecticut’s Democratic Governor said Trump’s actions and words have damaged the U-S-Canadian relationship.
