Hockey Hall of Famer Stan Mikita has died after battling Lewy body dementia, brain disorder. He was 78.
Mikita, a native of Czechoslovakia helped the Chicago Blackhawks to the Stanley Cup in 1961. He played all 22 of his NHL seasons in Chicago from 1958-1980.
He was a two-time NHL MVP winning in the Art Ross Trophy and a four-time scoring champion winning the Art Ross Trophy.
In 1,396 games he scored 541 goals and had 926 assists.
