Island farmers say if they don’t get some significant rain soon they could be facing a crisis.
Before the showers Thursday, only 13 millimetres of precipitation had fallen in July — well below the normal 80 millimetres.
Robert Godfrey of the PEI Federation of Agriculture says they need a steady, consistent amount of rain immediately.
