Statistics Canada says Prince Edward Island was among the few provinces where police-reported crime did not increase last year.
The agency says the national crime rate rose one per cent, while PEI’s crime rate fell 5%.
Only Newfoundland and Labrador, and the Yukon saw bigger decreases.
