ISLAND HORSE WINS TRURO INVITATIONAL
Rose Run Quest won the Exhibition Cup Invitational in harness racing in Truro with Gilles Barrieau behind in 1.53/4. The 6-year old is owned by Blair Hansen of Charlottetown and trained by Bo Ford.
The race was worth $7,500.
In Spades was second and the favourite Czar Seelster was third.
Oh To Be Me won the feature at Red Shores in Charlottetown in 1.55/2 with Gary Chappell driving.
Ken Murphy was in the bike winning the first 3 races on the card.
JAYS DROP O’S AGAIN
Marcus Stroman was dominant as the Toronto Blue Jays won 4-1 over the struggling Baltimore Orioles. Stroman got his 3rd win in his last 5 decisions allowing just an earned run on five hits and struck out seven. He’s 3-7 this season.

To show how rough a season it’s been – some Orioles players including Adam Jones got stuck in an elevator after losing 8-7 in ten innings to the Jays on Friday night. Jones made light of the situation sending out some Instagram photos from the elevator.
Sonny Gray won consecutive games for the first time since being traded to the NY Yankees last summer. The Yankees held off the Mets, 7-6. Aaron Judge homered.
The Mets scored three times in the 9th and got to Yankees closer Aroldis Chapman but held on for the win.
Mike Fiers fired shutout ball into the 7th inning as Detroit blanked Boston, 5-0. Jose Iglesias had a two-run homer and drove in four runs. The Red Sox 4.5 up on the Yankees.
Cleveland routed Texas, 16-3 with a 21 hit attack. Yonder Alonso hit two homers.
Houston shutout the Angels, 7-0. Justin Velander had 11 strikeouts. George Springer hit a grand slam.
The Cubs split with the Cardinals. Chicago won 7-2 but lost 6-3.
Matt Carpenter of the Cards became the 28th player to hit home runs in 6 consecutive games. He homered in both ends of the doubleheader.
STIFF SUSPENSION FOR RELIEVER
Veteran reliever Antonio Bastardo had been suspended 140 games by MLB for using PED’s. He also served a 50 game suspension in 2013 for using performance enhancing drugs. Bastardo was released by Arizona in March.
STAMPS STILL UNBEATEN
Toronto fell to 1-4 in the CFL. The Argos lost 38-20 to Winnipeg.
