Tourism operators will benefit from reduced licensing fees, putting more money in their pockets to create jobs for Islanders.
The 20 percent fee reduction for about 1,500 operators across the province will also allow them to invest more in their properties and marketing to help drive more visitors to PEI. For some operators that means a saving of about $800 over the next three years.
The fee reduction is possible partly because the number of Island tourism operations has increased in recent years.
