The Order of PEI has grown by three new members as announced by Lt. Governor Antoinette Perry.
Canadian Paralympic star Mark Arendz of Hartsville set a national record with 6 medals in the Paralympics in Korea in biathlon and cross country skiing. He was also flag bearer for Canada at the closing.
Heather Cutcliffe of Augustine Cove has been a leader and advocate in health care rehabilitation medicine and has worked as a therapist and volunteer helping many patients.
Irene Jewell of York has been a farmer, business woman and has done much for her community.
She helped open Jewell’s Country Gardens in 1964 and has received many International Grand Champion awards for farm produce.
She’s also been an active member and leader of the Women’s Institute.
