Canada Day activities begin at noon and will end with the fireworks display at 10.00 tonight.
The fireworks will be launched on the Victoria Park Boardwalk behind the cannons.
The Victoria Park Roadway will be closed to all traffic from 1.00 in the afternoon until about 11.00 in the evening.
Cyclists will not be be able to use the cycling lane during the day until the event ends.
The Victoria Park Driveway from the roadway to the Tennis Courts are closed until 11.00 tonight.
The Brighton Road entrance and parking lot beside the ball fields is closed until the event concludes.
You are asked to use the provincial government parking lot off Terry Fox Drive or walk to the event as there will not be parking allowed in the area surround Victoria Park.
The Victoria Park pool will be open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Simmons Pool is open 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.
The Kiwanis Dairy Bar will be open.
Events are going rain or shine.
Should the fireworks be postponed due to weather conditions they will go on Monday night at 10.00.

Summerside will celebrate Canada Day with a Civic Ceremony with a special presentation to native son Gerard “Turk” Gallant, head coach of the amazing Las Vegas Golden Knights that made it to the Stanley Cup final before going out in five games to the Washington Capitals.
Gallant will be honoured with a special presentation on stage during the ceremony at 2.00 this afternoon.
NORTH RUSTICO
North Rustico is famous for its Canada Day events.
The Made In Canada all day celebration is taking place at Seawalk Park.
A street parade at 10.30 this morning.
The Rustico Harbour Boat Parade at 6.00 this evening and fireworks at 10.00.
