Parks Canada says phase one of the Province House conservation project is complete, and crews have now moved onto phase two.
Phase one saw a steel exoskeleton built to stabilize the building, and it revealed the walls are in better condition than first expected.
Phase two will focus on conserving the exterior walls, and work on the structural walls inside the building, as well as the floors and roof.
Ottawa had originally announced $47-million for the project, and it’s now added another $14.1 million for Phase two.
