A 28-year Montague man has been arrested for assault after a 71-year old man was found injured at a residence on Queens Road Extension in Montague.
The alleged assault occurred on Thursday evening.
The older man suffered non-life threatening injuries.
KIngs District RCMP responded to a 911 call.
The 28-year old faces charges of break and enter with intent to commit robbery, two charges of assault with a weapon, possession of stolen property, and two charges of breach of probation.
The suspect and victim knew each other and the RCMP say this was an isolated event.
