The Trans-Canada Highway between Moncton and Fredericton is set to reopen today after being closed for days after flooding in southern New Brunswick.
Officials hope to open the busy highway by noon.
It’s good news for Island truckers who have been facing one to hour detours around the flooded area.
The four-lane stretch _ used by an average of 10-thousand to 12-thousand vehicles daily _ has been closed for the past week because of record-breaking flooding in the province.
The water has receded from the road but crews have been removing all the debris.
