Charlottetown fire officials say 13 people had to be rescued from a yacht that sank near the mouth of the of the city harbour.
Deputy Fire Chief Tim Mayme says emergency crews were called shortly after the 35-foot yacht began to sink around 8.00 on Wednesday night.
A smaller vessel picked up those on board while crews were on their way to the yacht.
Mayme says some of those rescued were “shaken up and cold” and one man was transported to hospital with mild hypothermia
