A Stratford, PEI man was arrested in Nova Scotia last Friday by RCMP after a report of shoplifting at a store in Pictou.
The 61-year old man had 12 outstanding warrants across the country that dated back to 2013.
Police located the man in the Pine Tree area on Friday evening after he fled the scene.
The Jaguar car he was driving was reported stolen in B.C.
His outstanding warrants include 30 other property-related crimes in PEI, New Brunswick, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Alberta and B.C.
He will be in court to answer to charges of theft and possession of stolen property and a number of motor vehicle act offenses.
