Burger Love was a huge success again this year….the 8th year for the promotion held each April.
A total of 78-thousand pounds of Island beef was sold
which totals more than $2.6 million in burgers sales and over $4 million in total economic impact when you account for sale of the sides like potatoes and beer that go along with the burgers.
The top burger this year is the One-Eyed Jack sold at the Pilot House in Charlottetown and a creation of chef Jared Acorn.
Agriculture Minister Robert Henderson says Burger Love does a lot of good economically all over the province.
There were some 87 burgers to choose from this year across PEI.
