Queens District RCMP officers on patrol arrested two impaired drivers Wednesday.
An officer conducted a traffic stop on Route 1 in Cornwall after seeing a vehicle driving slowly and bumping into the curb a number of times.
The 22 year-old male driver was arrested for impaired operation of a motor vehicle and was taken to police headquarters where tests were conducted by a Drug Recognition Expert. The accused will appear in Provincial Court June 11th to answer to impaired by drug related charges.
Another officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle swerving on the Kingston Road in Cornwall.
The 36 year-old female driver was arrested for impaired driving and later provided breath samples over the legal limit. She will also appear in court on June 11.
