Special Olympics PEI is still in need of more volunteers to assist with part of the National Special Olympics Bowling Championships this month in Summerside, Tyne Valley, and Charlottetown.
The national event runs from May 14 – 18 and the Healthy Athlete screening component happens two of those five days with volunteer positions still to be filled.
300 bowlers from across Canada will be competing, bringing with them coaches, mission staff, family members, fans, dignitaries from sports organizations and federal government officials.
