Another comeback win which has forced Game 7 in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League semi-finals as the Charlottetown Islanders went to overtime again and came out with a 3-2 victory over the Blainville Armada.
Cameron Askew was set up by Hunter Drew and P.O. Joseph as he connected on the winner at 6.08 of the extra period. It came in the dying seconds of a power play.
That’s three straight overtime wins at home over the Armada in the series.
It forces Game 7 on Tuesday night back in Blainville.
Nikita Alexandrov tied the game, 2-2 at 17.49 in the third.
Power play goals by Alex Boulet and Alex Alain gave the Armada 2-1 lead in the second after trailing 1-0 in the first on a power play marker in the first by rookie Brett Budgell.
The Islanders outshot Blainville, 39-18.
