Charlottetown will see an electric bus running the University Avenue route the end of this month.
From March 26th – 28th, T3 Transit will be testing the new electric method of transport which runs quieter than their regular buses.
Transit operator Mike Cassidy encourages people to try the electric bus but says it could be 2020 before one is permanently part of the T3 fleet.
Cassidy says it takes about 12 – 18 months for a bus to be delivered after being ordered and part of the funding would come from the city of Charlottetown and the towns of Cornwall and Stratford.
