If you thought winter missed us this year, the storms hitting Charlottetown today, Friday, and Saturday will change your mind.
As one system is well underway, weather forecasters say Islanders can expect anywhere from 20-35 centimeters of snow over the next few days.
David Phillips, senior climatologist with Environment Canada, says two weather systems back to back are harder to fight and we can expect lots of shoveling, along with poor visibility.
Phillips says on the bright side, wind chills and freezing temperatures won’t be a concern with these systems as the thermometer will be around 5 degrees Friday and hovering around the zero mark throughout the weekend.
