It’ll be Sherwood and Tignish in the PEI Jr C final after the Metros won their series Monday night with a 9 – 2 dropping of Summerside.
The second PEI Midget Triple A semi-final comes down to tonight’s game between Pownal and Kings County at 7:30. The Kings downed Pownal 4 – 1 Monday night to tie the best of 5 at 2.
The Midget Triple A female final will see Kings County Kings facing Mid-Isle Wildcats. Kings County took their semi-final in four games after a 2 -1 win last night over Western in Montague.
The Warriors blanked the Express 3 – 0 in O’Leary to tie their best of five at 2 apiece in Bantam Triple A playoff action. Game 5 is tonight at 8 in Montague.
NHL Monday nighters saw the Senators downed Dallas 3 – 2 in OT…the Oilers beat Arizona 4 – 3 in the extra frame…it was the Canucks coming away with a 4 – 3 OT win over the Islanders…the Sabres downed the Leafs 5 – 3…and Pittsburgh put out the Flames 4 – 3 in OT.
PEI dropped to 1 and 3 at the Brier in Regina after the Eddie MacKenzie rink lost 7 – 6 in the extra end to host Saskatchewan.

Island Jr B hockey has the Metros travelling to Evangeline for an 8 o’clock start against Western.
It’s a deciding game 5 tonight for Pownal and Kings County in PEI Midget AAA playoff action. Puck drops at 7:30 in Pownal and the winner goes on to face Mid-Isle Matrix in the final.
The Midget Triple A Female final is set with the Kings County Kings facing the Mid-Isle Wildcats. The Kings clinched their semi-final series after downing Western 2 – 1. Game one goes Friday night in Cornwall with game 2 late Saturday afternoon in Montague.
Bantam AAA playoff action travels to Montague tonight for the 5th and deciding game between the Prince County Warriors and the Eastern Express. Game time is at 8 with the winner advancing to game 1 of the championship series Wednesday night against the Central Attack.
NHL action has a couple of Canadian teams on the ice. The Jets are in NY to face the Rangers, the Habs are in Jersey against the Devils, while elsewhere the Bruins host Detroit.
At the Briar, PEI’s Eddie MacKenzie is facing neighbouring New Brunswick today then Ontario tonight.
