Prince Edward Island gets top marks in an annual report card on the justice system across Canada.
The Macdonald-Laurier Institute tracks various justice system metrics to rank the provinces and territories in the areas of fairness, efficiency, cost, public safety and access to justice.
P-E-I gets an overall grade of B to keep its first-place ranking from last year, with New Brunswick second, Newfoundland and Labrador third and Nova Scotia fifth, also earning B’s.
