The Holland College Hurricanes men’s basketball team is once again ACAA champs. The Canes downed the Crandall Chargers 100 – 64 on Sunday to take their 6th straight conference title.
The UPEI Panther’s Women’s Basketball squad made it to the final of the AUS title but suffered an 80 – 58 loss to Acadia Sunday afternoon at Scotiabank Centre.
The Charlottetown Islanders downed the Moncton Wildcats 6-3 in Q-league action Sunday afternoon at the Eastlink Centre.
The Kensington Wild lead the Charlottetown Pride 2 – 0 in the PEI Major Midget final after a 6 – 2 victory Sunday at MacLauchlan Arena.
NHL action saw Nashville down Colorado 4 – 3 in OT…Gerard Gallant and his Vegas Knights edged New Jersey 3 – 2….Winnipeg downed Carolina 3 – 2…and the Blue Jackets doubled the Sharks 4 – 2.
DeMar DeRozan had a team-high 19 points as Toronto beat the Charlotte Hornets 103-98.

PEI Bantam Triple A playoff action has Eastern at Prince County at 7:30 in game four of their best of five. Eastern leads 2 games to 1.

At the Tim Horton’s Brier in Regina today, PEI’s Eddie MacKenzie foursome face Saskatchewan this afternoon. MacKenzie sits at 1 and 2 after a win and a loss on Sunday.
