Health Canada is recalling milk and cream products produced by Farmers, Natrel and Northumberland brand milk that were distributed in Atlantic Canada.
Health Canada says the presence of sanitizer was detected in some samples, albeit in small quantities.
The recall is being applied to products sold in PEI, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Nova Scotia.
Recalled items include two per cent milk, 3.25 per cent homogenized milk, skim milk and one per cent milk in various sizes, as well as coffee cream and whipping cream.
