The Charlottetown Islanders opened their three game Quebec road trip in Chicoutimi with a 3-1 win against the Sagueneens. Daniel Hardie had the hat trick for the Islanders.

A tough return to the ice for Ottawa. St. Louis scored three second-period goals as the Blues beat the Senators 4-1. Ottawa was playing its first game after an eight-day layoff for its bye week. Another third-period collapse for the Maple Leafs. Sean Couturier scored 18 seconds into overtime as the Flyers came from behind to beat Toronto 3-2 in Philadelphia.

At the Canadian Junior Curling Championships, a tough day for PEI’s Lauren Lenentine rink, as they lost both their games, falling 9-6 to New Brunswick and 9-4 to Alberta. On the men’s side, PEI’s Alex MacFadyen lost 8-6 to Saskatchewan.
DeMar DeRozan will be starting at another N-B-A all-star game. DeRozan was named a starting guard for the East all-star team for a second straight year.
