This week’s stormy weather resulted in a lot of trees blowing down that led to power outages plus some other damage.
At least one tree came down on a parked vehicle in Charlottetown.
The wind blew the roof off the Department of Transportation salt storage shed in St. Eleanors and the RCMP had to warn drivers to be careful of flying debris from the demolition site of the former North River rink along the Trans Canada.
Three vehicles were destroyed in a fire in O’Leary in garage Thursday night.
The O’Leary Fire Department responded but two cars a truck plow were destroyed.
Firefighters arrived just after 10 in the evening. The West Point Fire Department also responded.
The wind blew the flame away from the house and brushed past the O’Leary Community Sports Centre located next door.
