Opposition Leader James Aylward didn’t get very far in trying to find out answers about the Liberal government keeping the province’s fixed election date.
He grilled the Premier during Question Period in the Legislature.
No commitment was made.
Aylward also asked Premier Wade MacLauchlan about electoral reform which is to be included on the ballot in the next provincial election.
The Premier would only say the details would be worked out once a referendum act is tabled in the legislature in the spring session.
